Although restrictions have been removed, infection and health complications from COVID-19 remain a risk to everyone, especially those older and more vulnerable.
There are still ways that everybody in Staffordshire can help stop the spread of infection and keep our communities safe:
Stay at home if you can if you're displaying Covid-19 symptoms
Get your vaccine or booster if you are eligible
Consider wearing a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces such as on public transport and shops
Meet people outdoors or let fresh air in if meeting indoors
Continue to wash your hands or use sanitiser regularly throughout the day
Universal free testing has now finished. Rapid tests are still available for the general public to purchase from pharmacies and supermarkets.
Thegovernment will continue to provide free tests for those who work for the NHS or in social care, are going into hospital, or at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19.
Everyone aged 5 and over can get a 1st and 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The booster dose is available to people aged 16 and over and some children aged 12 to 15.
People aged 75 and over, people who live in care homes for older people and people aged 12 and over with a weakened immunse system, will be offered a spring booster
