Brewhouse secures funding for new youth music sessions

The Brewhouse is delighted to have secured funding from Youth Music to offer local young people aged 8-16 the opportunity to experience a wide range of new music activities.

The new MicroBeats project sees The Brewhouse working with Derby based music and development organisation, The Baby People, who are the UK’s first dedicated Hip Hop school and use art and culture to engage and support the needs of young people.

MicroBeats will start with sessions at schools and weekly workshops at Queens Street Community Centre, Winshill Neighbourhood Resource Centre and at The Brewhouse as part of the Young Creatives programme.

There are also two free February Half Term workshops at The Brewhouse for anyone aged 8-16 years, on the 18th and 19th of February from 10.30am-3.00pm
