To promote and uphold at all times the Office of Mayor of East Staffordshire.
To preside over Civic functions: Annual Council Meeting and Mayor's Reception, Civic Service & Parade and the Mayor's Annual Ball.
To attend other official engagements and Civic functions throughout the year of office.
To chair meetings of the Borough Council in accordance with the procedure rules.
To host visits to the Town Hall by groups and individuals, in collaboration with the Mayor's office. To explain about the Office of the Mayor, it's history and the Civic Insignia.
Host receptions/dinners, including visiting VIPs, business leaders and representatives of local, regional, national and international organisations.
To support the Borough Council's international partnerships.
