The Stretton Ward By Election is to be held on Thursday 26th September 2024.
Information for Electors
Please note that the last date to register to vote is Tuesday 10th September 2024.
Please note that the last date to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 11th September 2024. Do not wait to receive your poll card before applying for a postal vote. Applying now will mean you will receive your postal vote in good time. The date for despatch of postal vote packs will be confirmed following information from our printers. If you have received your postal vote and wish to hand it in at a Polling Station you will be asked to fill in a form. If this form is not completed your vote will not be counted.
Please note that the last date to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday 18th September 2024.
All electors must show photographic identification in Polling Stations when voting in person. The most common forms of ID are a passport, driving licence or bus pass. The full list can be found here: www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-youll-need
If you do not have suitable photographic id you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
