Roundabout Theatre set to return to Burton

Residents and visitors are being offering the opportunity to experience live theatre, music, comedy and family performances like never before, as the state of the art, pop up theatre, Roundabout, heads to Burton upon Trent’s Washlands from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th September.

In addition to a jam packed programme of live events there will be bars, a tasty selection of food and gifts from local artisans, plus a wide range of family activities.

Friday 9th September

  • Paines Plough – Ultimate Pickle – 10:00am
  • Paines Plough – A Sudden Violent Burst of Rain – 4:00pm
  • Nouveau Riche – CASTE-ING – 6:00pm
  • Just The Tonic Comedy Club – Mixed Bill Comedy – 8:00pm

Saturday 10th September

  • Paines Plough - Ultimate Pickle – 10:00am
  • Comedy Club 4 Kids – 12:00pm
  • Paines Plough – Half Empty Glasses – 1.30pm
  • Dommy B Poet - Dragons Tale – 4:00pm
  • Paines Plough – A Sudden Violent Burst of Rain – 5:30pm
  • Jess & Richard Arrowsmith: In Association with Burton Folk Club – 8:00pm

Sunday 11th September

  • David Gibbs – Family Jukebox – 10:30am
  • Paines Plough – Ultimate Pickle – 12:30pm
  • We Are What We Overcome – 4:30pm
  • Paines Plough – Half Empty Glasses – 6:30pm

Cllr Bev Ashcroft, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Cultural Development, said: “I’m so glad to see the Roundabout Theatre make a return to Burton upon Trent. With an entire weekend of activities planned, I’m sure there will be something for everybody to get involved in!”
