Moment of Silent Reflection to be Held in Honour of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

In line with national guidance, East Staffordshire Borough Council will be conducting a Moment of Silent Reflection on the eve of the funeral of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, taking place at 8pm on Sunday 18th September 2022.

Statement on National Brewery Centre

It has been announced that Molson Coors Beverage Company and Planning Solutions Limited (PSL) have reached an agreement whereby the National Brewery Centre in Burton upon Trent would close on 31st October 2022.

Plans to Expand Stapenhill Cemetery

Following a cabinet meeting on Tuesday 16th August 2022, a decision was made to proceed with expanding Stapenhill Cemetery onto Claverhouse allotments next to the cemetery. Whilst consideration of expansion at Stapenhill Cemetery has been underway for some time with the undertaking of the necessary ground investigations etc, this decision now means the work to progress the expansion will start straight away this year.
