The Local Plan which sets out the spatial strategy and planning policies for development in the borough until 2031 was submitted to the Secretary of State on Friday 11th April 2014 for examination.

The Local Plan presents a development strategy and planning policy framework that will meet the development needs of the borough's residents over the period 2012-31.

The Local Plan is the result of previous rounds of consultation including Issues and Options, Strategic Options, Preferred Options, Pre-Submission stage together with the Sustainability Appraisal and evidence base.
