What you can put into your brown bin?
From the garden:
- Leaves and bark
- Prunings
- Dead flowers and plants
- Weeds
- Hedge clippings
- Grass mowings
- Branches (maximum 4” diameter)
- Real Christmas trees
What can't go into the brown bin?
- Plastic of any type
- Pet litter or animal waste
- Rubble or large quantities of soil or turf
- Cardboard or paper
- Polystyrene
- Textiles
- Meat, fish and bones
- Vegetable and fruit peelings
- Bread
- Tea bags
- Egg shells
- Coffee grounds
If your brown bin contains any of the above non-accepted items the collection crew will not be able to empty it.
When is your brown bin collected?

We collect on bank holidays (excluding Christmas and New Year).
