Council set to open its public toilets

East Staffordshire Borough Council has announced that it will be opening its public toilets once necessary social distancing measures have been put in place.

Measures to prepare the authorities public toilets started on Monday 15th June and it’s anticipated that all Council owned toilets will be open by early next week.

In order to ensure that the toilets are safe to reopen, the Council has installed Covid-19 related signage to encourage social distancing, displayed posters to promote good hand washing, and undertaken works to cordon off any sinks and urinals where a 2 metre separation cannot be achieved.

The Council has seven public toilet blocks and each one will open once the works have been completed on that individual unit. The Council is starting in Uttoxeter Town Centre with Bradley Street and intends to open these on Tuesday 16th June.  Following this, work will commence on the toilets in our parks and open spaces before opening those that remain.
