East Staffordshire Borough Council has announced the Christmas opening hours for its facilities.
The main Council offices will close on Thursday 24th December at 4.00pm and will open again at 9.00am on Monday 4th January. The Customer Service Centres in Burton and Uttoxeter remain closed due to Tier 3 restrictions.
Burton’s Local Testing Site for COVID-19, which is based at Burton Town Hall, will remain open over the Christmas period between 8am - 8pm (except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day which is 8am - 3pm) by appointment only.
The Greenhouse Centre at Stapenhill Cemetery will close at 2pm on Thursday 24th December and will open at 10am on 4th January.
The Cemetery office will close at 4:30pm on Thursday 24th December but will open between Sunday 27th December and Thursday 31st December between 9:30am and 3:30pm. The cemetery office will be closed on New Year’s Day and will reopen on Saturday 2nd January at 9.30am.
The Brewhouse Arts Centre will remain closed due to Tier 3 restrictions.
Burton Market Hall will open on Thursday 24th December between 9am – 5pm but will close between the 25th and 28th December. The market hall will open between 9am and 5pm on the 29th, 30th, 31st December and 2nd January, before returning to normal opening hours from Monday 4th January.
Meadowside and Uttoxeter Leisure centres, and Shobnall Leisure Complex have announced their opening times over the Christmas period.
Meadowside and Uttoxeter Leisure Centre
The leisure centres will close at 12noon on Thursday 24th December for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. From Sunday 27th to Thursday 31st December, both leisure centres will open between 8am and 4pm apart from New Year’s Eve, where both will open at 7am and close at 12noon. On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd January, the leisure centres will open between 8am and 4pm, before returning to normal operating hours on Monday 4th January 2021.
Shobnall Leisure Complex
Shobnall Leisure Complex will close at 12noon on Thursday 24th December for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The leisure complex will open from Sunday 27th to Thursday 31st December between 9am and 4pm apart from New Year’s Eve, where it will open at 8am and close at 12noon.
The leisure complex will open again on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd January between 9am and 4pm, before returning to its normal operating hours on Monday 4th January 2021.
