Brewhouse to host online family activities during February Half Term

With the Brewhouse Arts Centre remaining closed due to the pandemic they have announced a number of online activities and shows for families this February Half Term.

These activities include a Family Funday, available on demand from Saturday 13th February, where parents and children can join tutors from the Brewhouse for a range of creative crafts, dances and short films. The workshops will be free to attend, but families should register in advance.

The venue will also stream the family show ‘DUST’ by Children’s Theatre Company, Half Moon, which will be available on demand throughout the half term week, from Saturday 13th February.

DUST, written by acclaimed award-winning children’s author Laura Dockrill (Darcy Burdock book series and Big BonesDust uses puppetry and exquisite poetic language to explore a heartfelt story about love, loss, identity and memory. With haunting music by Hugo White of The Maccabees, this striking and emotional new play is a joyous reminder about just how playful the world can be. Tickets for the stream are available for £5.

“In the face of the pandemic the Brewhouse has sought to adapt its offering by hosting more online and virtual content. We hope these activities will help provide a source of entertainment for families as the lockdown continues, and a welcome break from home-schooling during half term.”
