ESBC Posts Positive End of Year Results

East Staffordshire Borough Council is proud to announce another successful period of performance following a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday 21st June 2022. This meeting saw Cabinet receive the end of year finance and performance reports for the 2021/22 financial year.

The Council is pleased to announce that performance has remained positive with 94.26% of targets being reported as ‘green’, meaning those targets have either been achieved or exceeded. In terms of financial performance, despite some significant budgetary pressures and a challenging difficult operating environment there was an overall positive contribution to reserves of £0.4m at the year-end.

Cllr George Allen, Leader of the Council said: “Given the difficult couple of years we have all had to face, it is really encouraging to see results such as these. These excellent results are largely due to the hard work of both staff and members.”

Cllr Steve Sankey, Cabinet Member for Finance, Treasury Management and Communications said: “It is very pleasing to see the Council present such positive results, however, looking to the future we must use this information to further improve the service we at the Council provide.”
