How can I respond to the consultation?

There are several ways to respond to the concepts produced, in person and digitally.

In Person

A series of formal and drop in public consultation events with residents is occurring over the coming weeks where residents will be able to review the different concept proposals, ask questions and provide feedback on physical feedback forms provided at the events.

From the week commencing 10th June 2024, residents can also visit the Brewery Heritage Centre on Station Street, Burton on Trent & Uttoxeter Town Hall where a pop up consultation stand will be in both locations containing boards and pop up banners with the concept proposal information on. Feedback forms will be available on the stands for residents to complete and put in the box provided for the Enterprise Team to review.

Digitally

A digital form has been produced for residents to provide feedback on the concept proposals and if you have any questions or queries, please contact enterprise.team@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk

When do I need to respond by?

The consultation period finishes on Thursday 1st August 2024.

What will happen after the consultation?

The feedback received will be analysed and presented to East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Cabinet to consider and review.

The technical design phase will continue following the public consultation stage with the concept detail being discussed with key partners to create a final design.

A project programme will then be developed and a design review will occur following the conclusion of public consultation which will go into detail about the sites physical and natural assets – such as topographical and building survey information.

Once further information about the sites assets is gained the planning pre-application stage will commence with East Staffordshire Borough Council’s planning department. Once feedback is received in the pre-application stage, the concept will be developed into a full planning application with further site studies and assessments undertaken to support the application for a decision to be made.
