On Thursday 6th May residents in East Staffordshire will go to the polls to have their say on who represents them at Staffordshire County Council and as Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

Following the announcement by Buckingham Palace of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, East Staffordshire Borough Council has released the following statement.

Following the Government’s announcement confirming the reopening of non-essential retail from Monday 12th April, East Staffordshire Borough Council is encouraging residents to ‘Stay Local’ in its latest campaign to support businesses in the Borough.

 

On Thursday 6th May residents in East Staffordshire will have their say on who represents them at the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Staffordshire County Council elections.

 

Following the Government’s roadmap announcement on Monday 5th April, non-essential retailers at Burton Market Hall will re-open from Monday 12th April.

The Outdoor Market will also welcome back non-essential retailers from Thursday 15th April 2021.

Following the recent announcement of the £22.8m allocation of the Towns Fund to Burton upon Trent, the Town Deal Board has now received Heads of Terms for the funding from Government.

The latest annual rough sleeper count found rough sleeping in East Staffordshire had fallen to zero, following a number of Council commissioned projects seeking to assist rough sleepers to access settled accommodation.
